Going up chair 4 at Bear Mountain after a big snow storm. So beautiful that I had to share.
Going up chair 9 at Bear Mountain. Not a lot of lines yet, but pretty sure it will get busy. Note that only chair 7 and 9 are open.
This video is pretty interesting of 2 snowboarders and 1 skier getting caught on an avalanche in the Pyrenees. The mountain is beautiful, the soft snow amazing and everyone survived. Check it out.
If you ski or snowboard, make sure to watch this video. Life goes by too fast to risk getting seriously hurt or killed while having fun in the mountains. Be gentle, be kind and be careful – have fun. #rideanotherday

Big Bear (California) just got its first snow of the season. It was just about an inch, but having the first snow in October is a great sign for the season. As the wise man says: some snow is better than no snow. That’s how Bear Mountain looked this morning.
You know a good season is coming when Mammoth gets early snow. Just a few days ago they got 6 inches and seems like more is coming. Their opening date is November 13th, but we are hoping for an earlier start if the good conditions persist. Welcome winter!
